Several Rangers are expected to be sold as Danny Rohl oversees a major squad overhaul in his first summer transfer window at Ibrox.
While the poor end to the 2025-26 season raised doubts over Rohl’s future in Govan, Andrew Cavenagh has extended his full support to the German tactician, meaning the full focus is on shaping a squad capable of mounting a serious title charge next season.
Therefore, Rangers are gearing up for another squad revamp this summer, although the overhaul is unlikely to be as big as last year, when 14 new signings were made.
Chris Jack believes the incomings are likely to be closer to 10 this time, but the Ibrox outfit still have some major decisions to make regarding their existing players.

Liam Kelly
Liam Kelly is due to leave the club as things stand, as his existing contract expires at the end of the month, but the Gers are in talks to extend his stay. Mason Munn
With Kieran Wright departing, Rohl may choose to keep the 20-year-old goalkeeper around as his third-choice goalkeeper next season. Verdict: Stays at Rangers.
Gers are short of options in defence
John Souttar
John Souttar is entering the final year of his contract at Ibrox, and one would expect the club to decide whether or not to sell him at this stage. However, Rohl is already short of leaders following James Tavernier’s departure, and he ideally wants to add to his options in defence, not reduce. Verdict: Stays at Rangers.
Emmanuel Fernandez
Emmanuel Fernandez is easily Rangers’ best signing from last summer and is expected to remain a starting centre-back under Rohl next season, unless an unexpectedly huge offer arrives. Verdict: Stays at Rangers.
Clinton Nsiala
Clinton Nsiala is contracted to the Glaswegian outfit until 2028, but faces an uncertain future, with KVC Westerlo yet to decide on whether they want to trigger the option to make his loan move permanent. With the Light Blues expected to sign at least one centre-back, it would not be surprising if the former AC Milan youth star left the club nevertheless. Verdict: Leaves Rangers.
Dujon Sterling
With Tavernier leaving the club as a free agent and Max Aarons returning to Bournemouth, Dujon Sterling is the only senior right-back available to Rohl. Verdict: Stays at Rangers.
Tuur Rommens
Similar to Sterling, Tuur Rommens is the only senior left-back at Rohl’s disposal, as things stand. The Belgian has also established himself as a key player for Rangers since arriving in January. Verdict: Stays at Rangers.

Rangers brace for big changes in midfield
Nicolas Raskin
Nicolas Raskin has two more years left on his contract, but many feel the time has come for the Belgian and the Govan club to part ways. Cavenagh and Co. will be hoping that he has an impressive World Cup campaign, so that they can sell him for a significant sum. Verdict: Leaves Rangers.
Tochi Chukwuani
Like Rommens, Tochi Chukwuani has been a solid winter addition. The 23-year-old defensive midfielder is contracted until 2029, so all signs point towards Rangers signing a domestic player to play alongside him next season. Verdict: Stays at Rangers.

A relentless, high-energy midfielder who covers every blade of grass and sets the tempo for the press. Connor Barron is not expected to start the 2026-27 season as a starter, but he provides ample cover in the position. Verdict: Stays at Rangers.

Jose Cifuentes
There have been suggestions that Toronto FC are set to send him back to Ibrox after his loan, having decided not to sign him for the pre-agreed £1.5million fee. However, the MLS club’s head coach, Robin Fraser, has confirmed that they are still in dialogue with Rangers over buying him. Verdict: Leaves Rangers.
Bailey Rice
Bailey Rice is set to leave Rangers when his contract expires at the end of the month as things stand, but the club are in talks over a new deal. Rohl could keep the midfielder at the club for depth or loan him out to one of the Gers’ loan corporation clubs. Verdict: Stays at Rangers.
Lyall Cameron
Aberdeen have not ruled out the possibility of re-signing Lyall Cameron after taking him on loan in January, but are worried about the finances involved. It looks like he will head out on loan again. Verdict: Leaves Rangers on loan.

Fresh off the back of an impressive loan spell at Raith Rovers, Paul Nsio is contracted at Rangers until 2027. Another temporary stint away from Ibrox appears to be the most likely outcome for him, with the Rovers keen to take him again. Verdict: Leaves Rangers on loan.

Thelo Aasgaard
Thelo Aasgaard has not exactly set the stage on fire since his £3.5m arrival from Luton Town last year, with suggestions in some corners that Rangers may cut their losses on the Norway international. However, the club have more pressing matters on hand. Verdict: Stays at Rangers.
Nedim Bajrami
Nedim Bajrami has two more years left on his contract, but it will be a surprise if he is still at the club come 2 September. Verdict: Leaves Rangers.
Djeidi Gassama
The Mauritian international would not have expected to reunite with Rohl when he joined the Scottish giants last summer. He will be a good squad option to have going forward. Verdict: Stays at Rangers.
Findlay Curtis
There is a lot of buzz around Findlay Curtis after his successful loan spell at Kilmarnock, which earned him a call-up to Scotland’s squad for the World Cup. He is 100 per cent nailed to play a prominent part in Rangers’ season. Verdict: Stays at Rangers.
Oliver Antman
Like Aasgaard, there have been suggestions that Oliver Antman may be sold after he left much to be desired on several occasions last season. However, some believe Lawrence Shankland’s arrival may unlock him. Verdict: Stays at Rangers.

The Colombia international is set to return from his loan at Huracan and has a contract until 2029. However, he has no future under Rohl. Verdict: Leaves Rangers.

Youssef Chermiti
Youssef Chermiti took his time to find his footing in Scotland following his big-money arrival from Everton. He is now expected to strike a formidable partnership with Shankland. The striker will only leave in the event of an irrefusable offer. Verdict: Stays at Rangers.
Ryan Naderi
Ryan Naderi joined Rangers in February, seemingly on Rohl’s suggestion. All signs point towards the German possibly playing two strikers up front, meaning he needs options in that area. Verdict: Stays at Rangers.
Bojan Miovski
Bojan Miovski looks to be in trouble following Shankland’s arrival from Hearts. There is nothing concrete to suggest he will leave the club this summer, but the Gers may look to recoup the £2.6m they spent on his signature last summer. Verdict: Leaves Rangers.
