Rangers midfielder Bailey Rice has been linked with a number of clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.
The window officially opens on 15 June, but clubs, including the Light Blues, are going ahead with their transfer business and have also confirmed the signing of Lawrence Shankland.
However, the hierarchy also need to deal with the futures of players already at the club, most notably Rice, as his contract is set to run out this summer.
Andrew Cavenagh seems to be working overtime!
This is great news for Rangers… 💪
Sources claim Bailey Rice is inclined to leave Rangers
Sources close to the situation have claimed that Rice is inclined to seal an Ibrox exit this summer, according to TEAMtalk.
Watford are pushing to bring the 19-year-old to Vicarage Road as they want to build their project around young players.
They believe they can convince the midfielder that he will get more senior minutes than he would if he ends up staying at Ibrox.
Should Lawrence Shankland be named the Rangers captain?
Colin Hendry believes he deserves the armband right away…
Rice has offers on the table from clubs in England, Germany, Italy, as well as Scotland, so he is a player who is spoilt for choice.
Rangers have put a contract extension offer on the table for the Scotsman to sign and are even in talks with him, but are still to convince him to stay.
All parties expect to arrive at a resolution in the next few weeks, but Rice has made it clear that he wants to be playing regularly.

What has Danny Rohl said about Rice’s future?
It has been a while since Danny Rohl was last asked about Rice, but back in January, he had some interesting things to say.
The German did not confirm that the club want to keep him or that he is impressed with the midfielder and sees him as a part of the Ibrox outfit’s future.
Instead, he said that he was waiting for the teenager to return from injury before a decision would be made.
How long will Danny Rohl be at Rangers?
Andrew Cavenagh has confirmed he will not be sacked ahead of the new season…
The Rangers manager said: “I think it’s now at the stage where he must first come back after the big injury. He is working hard in this case.
“Then we make a decision from our side.”
That potentially means that Rohl wanted to see enough from Rice before deciding whether or not he wants to integrate him into his first-team squad.
The midfielder is not expected back before pre-season, so until then, the Gers boss is unlikely to push for an extension.
