Rangers’ trophy history is among the best in the world as the most successful football club in Scotland. The Ibrox outfit have also added a European title to their illustrious trophy cabinet.
No club can rival Rangers’ success in the Scottish top-flight with a record 55 titles so far. The Gers have also lifted a record 27 League Cup titles having produced success from the start of Rangers’ club history in 1872. While a European honour arrived for their 100th anniversary.

Rangers have won the Scottish top-flight trophy 55 times throughout their history. The Gers also secured their maiden crown in the inaugural season of league football. While trophies have followed under the many names the top-flight of the Scottish game has since adopted.
The Ibrox natives triumphed in the first season of division football after sharing the title with Dumbarton. Each club ended the campaign with 29 points before drawing 2-2 in a play-off as there was no definitive decider. Another 23 titles then followed in the Division One era.
Rangers were the dominant force during the Division One era and continued to lead the way with four Division A trophies. While the return to the Division One moniker brought another seven titles to Ibrox. Rangers also topped Premier Division 12 times between 1975 and 1998.
The Gers also won an incredible nine titles in a row from 1988 to 1997 before the start of the breakaway Premier League era from 1998/99 brought the crown back. They went on to take seven titles before the Premier League and Football League merged to form the Premiership.
A top-flight trophy would not feature in Rangers’ hands for a decade after their 2010/11 title. But Steven Gerrard brought silverware back to Ibrox in 2020/21 for their 55th top-flight title.

Along with their top-flight titles, Rangers have also lifted the second, third and fourth tiers in their history. The club’s financial demise in the early 2010s forced the Gers to work their way back up the leagues. They had not played outside of the top-flight before the 2012/13 term.

Rangers have won the Challenge Cup once
The Challenge Cup title only features once in Rangers’ trophy history given their almost ever-present place in the top-flight. It is a knockout tournament for sides outside of the top-flight. It has also included the U21 sides of the top-flight clubs and guests from outside of Scotland.

The Gers have lifted one European title to date
Alongside their domestic successes, Rangers have lifted one European title to date. The Gers have regularly competed on the continent since the 1956/57 season when they entered the European Cup. While the Glasgow team have reached six European finals and have won one.
Rangers further became the first British team to feature in a UEFA-sanctioned European final in 1960/61. The Gers featured in that term’s European Cup Winners’ Cup final but Fiorentina won 4-1. While Rangers last featured in a European final during the 2021/22 Europa League.
