Rangers hunt for strikers stepped up this weekend as Danilo and Adballah Sima joined Cyriel Dessers, Benie Traore and Josh Maja on the wanted list.
More firepower is top of Michael Beale’s summer shopping list and, with pre-season training just around the corner, he will be wanting to see a couple of new faces this week if it is possible.
Bids have been reported but what is the current state of play with Rangers linked to Danilo, Sima, Dessers, Traore and Maja?

Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent scored 15 goals between them last season so, any new arrivals don’t have a lot to live up to in the short term.
James Bisgrove has said that the manager will be backed and Michael Beale has said that he is excited about the players he wants to bring in, here is the latest on who Rangers have been linked with as Danilo, Sima, Dessers, Traore and Maja hit the headlines.
What is the latest in Rangers pursuit of Danilo, Sima, Dessers, Traore and Maja
Danilo
No concrete bid as yet with initial reports suggesting that the 24-year old Brazilian is the plan B to Cyriel Dessers.
With Feyenoord only having signed Danilo last summer, he wouldn’t be cheap.

Abdallah Sima
A loan move has been claimed to be close for Senegal international Abdallah Sima with the Brighton forward losing his way in recent seasons.
After a reported £7m move from Slavia Prague, the 22-year old would be an exciting prospect if he could rediscover his previous form.

Cyriel Dessers
An early transfer saga, Cyriel Dessers is said to be keen on moving to Rangers but, as yet, nothing concrete has been announced other than a reported bid of £4.4m including add-ons.
Cremonense wanting £6m seems to be the major stumbling block and why a deal hasn’t yet been agreed.

Benie Traore
The youngest but most in-form striker that we have been linked with, a £2.8m offer is said to have been rejected by Swedish outfit Hacken.
Hopefully, this bid was only testing the water and we go back in for the 20-year old who could become a star on the big stage.
Josh Maja
Status quo. The interest is said to be concrete and Rangers have the chance to sign a quality number nine on a free transfer.
There is a reason why competition for his signature is fierce though.

The strikers named all have different skill sets but they have all proven at some point in their careers that they can score goals and be a threat to opposition defences.
If Rangers can get any two from Danilo, Abdallah Sima, Cyriel Dessers, Benie Traore and Josh Maja over the line, we won’t be in a bad place.
Getting them in quickly is going to be the difficult part.
