Rangers could be in the market to bring in as many as three new centre-backs in the summer transfer window, claims Chris Jack.
Thus far, Rangers have signed Lawrence Shankland from Hearts, but are expected to sign a lot more players before the end of August.
The Light Blues appear to be keen on strengthening in most areas as they look to build a title-winning squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Where does John Souttar rank among the best defenders in the Scottish Premiership?
He was handed a new Rangers contract earlier this year.
Luke Graham appears all set to leave Dundee United
Rangers Review’s Jack expects Dundee defender Luke Graham to part ways with the club amid links to Ibrox.
The reliable journalist has asserted that the chances of him staying put at Dens Park are “all but zero” amid growing interest in his services.
Rangers remain interested in Graham, but there has been no movement on that deal over the past few days.
How much should Rangers pay for Luke Graham? 🤔
His contract at Dundee runs out next summer…
Jack stated that Rangers are looking at signing two new centre-backs this summer, but could sign a third one as well, depending on how the window transpires.
He said: “Yes is the short answer to that question. They are still interested [in Graham].
“I asked on this one at the start of the week and there was no real movement on it.
“All parties still kind of sounding each other out a wee bit if you like, doing a bit of shadow boxing just to see where everybody lies, but he is a player that Rangers are interested in.
“The chances of him being a Dundee player come the end of the transfer window are all but zero I would have thought, unless something astonishing happens.
“Rangers need not just one centre half, they need two, potentially need a third depending on how the window unfolds.”

Which defenders are best suited to play for Rangers?
There are a number of defenders linked with a move to Ibrox this summer, but a few of them stand out as being ideal fits for the club.
Ryan Alebiosu appears to be the ideal fit at right-back, but Bryan Reynolds could prove to be a decent addition as well.
Graham will also be a good fit for the club given his experience in Scotland, but Casper Widell will bring the leadership that Rohl wants inside the dressing room.
It remains to be seen who the Gers end up signing, but they have been linked with some really interesting prospects.
