Dundee FC have made an official announcement on Rangers target Luke Graham on Wednesday morning.

Personal terms have also been agreed, with the deal hinging on whether or not the two clubs can agree on a transfer fee.

Dundee announce that Luke Graham has been called up to Scotland’s pre-camp World Cup training squad

Dundee have made an official announcement to confirm Graham’s inclusion in Scotland’s pre-camp training squad ahead of the World Cup.

Steve Clarke is understood to be impressed with what the 22-year-old has done in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Over the next few days, he will watch the centre-back train and then make up his mind as to whether or not he is ready to be a part of the World Cup squad.

Which area should Rangers prioritise on strengthening this summer? 🤔

Andrew Cavenagh has made some bold promises!

Thus far, Graham has not made his senior international debut, so he likely will be picked for the experience of being included rather than as someone who’s capable of strengthening the playing eleven.

That said, the defender has proven his worth in 35 league games this season and has been one of the best centre-backs in Scotland over the past 18 months.

Due to this, he has drawn transfer interest from a number of clubs, including Rangers.

What Dundee’s announcement means for Rangers’ pursuit of Graham?

The fact that Graham has been called up with Scotland’s official squad announcement just days away suggests that he could be at the World Cup.

This would delay any move to Rangers as he would be busy representing his country over the coming weeks.

Also, if he is to shine for Scotland, Dundee may increase their asking price as they know that the Light Blues are not the only side keen on securing his services.

This could see the Ibrox outfit ramping up their pursuit and agreeing on a deal with Dundee before the tournament even begins.

Graham has shown an inclination towards leaving and has refused to commit his future to his current club when asked in recent interviews.
