Rangers are keen on signing Westerlo right-back Bryan Reynolds as they are eyeing a replacement for James Tavernier.
Danny Rohl is keen on reinforcing his backline this summer and is being backed financially by the owners.
Rangers already submitted a £2.2m bid for Reynolds as he appears to be their priority right-back target, but it was turned down by the Belgian club.
What do you make of Bryan Reynolds joining Rangers?
He appears to be a clear upgrade on Dujon Sterling! 💪
Westerlo want £4.3m for Bryan Reynolds
Rangers News has learned that Westerlo are demanding £4.3m (€5m) to part ways with the American defender this summer.
They are aware of the interest shown in him not just by the Light Blues, but also by other European clubs, and appear to be holding firm on their valuation.
One source tells Rangers News that the Belgian side are resigned to losing the 24-year-old in the coming weeks.

The Ibrox outfit have reached an agreement with the full-back as he is keen on the move, and they now have to negotiate a fee with his club.
Rangers remain keen on Reynolds despite the rejected bid, with Rohl appearing to be a fan of the defender.
It remains to be seen if Westerlo’s asking price puts him beyond the reach of the Light Blues.
Will Rangers return with another offer for Reynolds?
In transfer deals, usually the opening bids are rejected, so Gers fans should have no reason to worry.
The fact that they have tabled a bid shows that he’s a priority for them and they are unlikely to back away so quickly.
Westerlo may be demanding almost twice what has been offered to them, but that is usually how negotiations work.
A four-man shortlist has been drawn up to replace James Tavernier…
We believe Hampus Skoglund is the ideal candidate. Let us know what you think!
Rangers are expected to table another bid which is closer to their valuation, and that may then lead to the two clubs sitting down and having conversations.
The Belgian side know that the defender is keen on a move to Ibrox and are not expected to stand in his way should the Light Blues come close to their valuation.
It remains to be seen at what fee an agreement can be reached, but there is optimism about a deal going through.
