Rangers are eyeing a summer move for Bryan Reynolds as the American owners are keen on bolstering the squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The Light Blues ended the last campaign in a disappointing third place, but have still decided to back Danny Rohl going into the transfer window.

Thus far, Lawrence Shankland has joined permanently from Hearts, but they are now keen on strengthening the defence.

Westerlo eye few million to part ways with Bryan Reynolds

Rangers are looking for new right-backs this summer, which has seen them turn to Westerlo to potentially sign Reynolds.

The Gers signed Tuur Rommens from them in January, and are also impressed with their other full-back, who could be on his way out.

Belgian media outlet Nieuwsblad have reported that the club are looking for a few million in order to sell the right-back this summer.

The 24-year-old has played nearly 150 games for the club and has established himself as a first-team regular.

The Belgian outfit are open to a sale as his deal runs out at the end of next season and they do not want to risk losing him on a free transfer.

Chris Jack has revealed that the Gers are indeed keen on Reynolds, who is among a few other names under consideration at right-back.

The American defender has been discussed internally at the Ibrox outfit, but a final decision is still to be made on whether or not he should be signed.

As he is not at the World Cup, he can now be signed without any delays as he is not busy over the next few weeks.

How can Reynolds strengthen this Rangers side?

Reynolds started his career as a winger and was then converted to a full-back, which means that he is good going forward.

He has shown that he is reliable in terms of his fitness, as showcased by his availability since joining Westerlo.

The American is an athletic modern full-back with a decent physical presence.

Reynolds stands at 6 ft 3 in, which means that he is reliable at defending and attacking set pieces and is also good at winning aerial duels.

He would be an upgrade on Dujon Sterling and become Rohl’s go-to option at right-back.

It remains to be seen how high he is on the club’s wishlist this summer.
