Rangers boss Michael Beale has confirmed that there will be yet more transfers coming in and out of Ibrox in the coming weeks following the announcement of his ninth signing.

The Ibrox manager was speaking to RangersTV following the announcement of Leon Balogun, the 35-year-old Nigerian international defender returning to Ibrox after a season at QPR.

Rangers’ seventh summer signing of the season, Balogun follows Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling, Jack Butland, Sam Lammers, Abdallah Sima and Cyriel Dessers into the club in this window.

That follows moves for Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin in January, with Michael Beale clear that the Rangers transfers won’t stop there with names to come into the club, and move out of it, in the coming weeks.

“It’s early in the summer, so there’s going to be more signings come in and out, we have a really fixed idea on some of the work that we’re doing and it’s ongoing,” said Beale.

The Rangers boss later added: “We’ll continue to strengthen other areas of the pitch if we require.”

Michael Beale confirms Rangers transfers to continue

Attentions will turn to which transfers Michael Beale was referring to in the interview with several players linked both in and out of Rangers this season.

Amongst those being touted for a move into the club includes another centre-back option, with Nottingham Forest defender Jonathan Panzo extensively linked with a move.

Rangers have also been heavily linked with LAFC’s Ecuadorean international midfielder Jose Cifuentes, who’s been impressing recently and showing Ibrox fans what he’s all about in the MLS.

There is also Feyenoord striker Danilo who is having quite the pre-season and for whom Rangers are said to have already had a bid turned down.

As for those leaving the club, several of the squad’s first-team are said to be up for sale with no fewer than five being the subject of intense reporting around an exit.

There are doubts over Jon McLaughlin after the arrival of Jack Butland and emergence of Robby McCrorie, whilst centre-back Ben Davies is reportedly attracting Championship interest.

Glen Kamara has most recently linked with a £5m move to Leeds United, with Ibrox winger Scott Wright being touted for Saudi Arabia or England and Antonio Colak potentially set to move to Italy.
