Michael Beale’s revolution may already have two casualties as Scott Wright and Jon McLaughlin look set to leave Rangers.
The Gers boss promised major changes on Sunday, just moments after losing 1-0 to Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-finals.
Beale noted that a number of players will come and go this summer with Rangers facing their biggest rebuild in years according to Beale.
Two signings appear to be close in Kieran Dowell and Jack Butland but getting rid of players will be a focus too.
The Daily Record now report that Rangers will allow goalkeeper McLaughlin and winger Wright to leave Ibrox.
It’s suggested that McLaughlin and Wright will have limited game time under Beale next season.
The pair will allegedly be encouraged to seek first-team football elsewhere as Beale looks to clear the decks at Rangers.
McLaughlin is under contract until 2024 and Wright still has two years left on his Rangers deal.
Rangers would be entitled to fees for both players but it seems they will be let go in bargain deals to make room for new faces.

It’s time for Jon McLaughlin and Scott Wright to leave
McLaughlin arrived as experienced competition for Allan McGregor in 2020 but has never really been able to claim the shirt as his own.
The Scotland international may sadly be remembered for a real clanger against Celtic earlier this season, gifting David Turnbull with an easy goal.
McLaughlin is bound to have interest in England and he could land a number one job in the English Championship or League One after excelling at Sunderland.
Wright has never really been a key player at Rangers since arriving from Aberdeen in January 2021.
The speedy winger had signed a pre-contract agreement with Rangers before arriving in an immediate deal a week later.
Wright just felt like an opportunity for Rangers; a Scottish player with some potential who wouldn’t break the bank.
If the move didn’t work, it wasn’t a major disaster but he had shown promising signs at Aberdeen that Rangers were willing to take a chance on.
Wright has turned out 82 times for Rangers but only managed eight goals and seven assists.
Again, interest from English clubs is likely and both McLaughlin and Wright should move on rather than sit around and fade away at Rangers.
