It’s been quite the transfer window for Rangers and the club’s supporters to date.
Not only have Rangers seen several of the squad’s once influential leaders leave this summer, but they’ve made way for a number of young, unproven talents at Ibrox.
Gers manager Philippe Clement and Nils Koppen have been given the mandate to reshape the Rangers squad and rebuild the club in John Bennett’s player trading image.
And to do it all on a shoestring budget.
As a result of Rangers’ tight purse strings it’s fair to say things haven’t always gone to plan for the club in the transfer market this summer.
Now, La Liga side Sevilla are set to re-open exit discussions over high profile midfielder Joan Jordan, who was the subject of links to Rangers earlier in the summer.

Rangers fans will remember those loan links to Sevilla midfielder Joan Jordan earlier in the summer.
The Spanish technician, 30, has played at the top level of the game with Europa League, Champions League and La Liga experience aplenty.
As the toiling La Liga club go through a rebuild of their own, Jordan has been deemed surplus to requirements and there were strong links to Rangers earlier in the summer.
But for whatever reason Rangers pulled out of the Jordan race and after a summer of negotiations, now the midfielder finally looks set to leave Sevilla.
According to Spanish outlet ABC, Deportivo Alavés are back in the hunt for Joan Jordan’s services following the €1.3m (£1.1m) sale of Luis Rioja to Valencia this summer.
With this cash Deportivo Alavés are back in the hunt for Joan Jordan after an initial loan offer, which would see Sevilla cover the bulk of Jordan’s services, was turned down.
It’s said that Sevilla are willing to cover a sizeable chunk of Jordan’s wages with a deal now possible before the end of the window.
Rangers remain on midfielder transfer hunt
Where does it leave Rangers in the Ibrox club’s midfield hunt? Well, the same place they were before the start of the week.
Rangers interest in Joan Jordan came much earlier in the window but the links give an inclination into the type of player the Ibrox side want to sign.
The Gers are on the hunt for a more experienced ‘number six’ type as one of four positions Rangers are targeting in the final week of the window.
Who that will be may well depend on outgoings with Rangers desperately trying to shift the likes of Ianis Hagi, Todd Cantwell and even Scott Wright out of the side.
Rangers manager Philippe Clement has admitted he expects a ‘busy’ end to the transfer window and we fully expect a new midfield arrival to be part of that.
But it looks increasingly likely that won’t be Joan Jordan, who is back in talks over a move to Alavés.
