Philippe Clement was a happy man after Rangers put Ross County to the sword in what could be the last league game at Hampden Park.
The manager has seen more consistency in his team selections but knows that he still has starters like Robin Propper and Mohamed Diomande to come back in.
What he might also be able to call upon for next weekend’s Old Firm clash at Parkhead is new signings with Clement revealing that Rangers fans could be in for an exciting week.

Philippe Clement hints at imminent Rangers signings
Speaking in his post-match press conference, not only did the Gers boss hint at new arrivals but also that those who have been doing their own thing at Auchenhowie might also be on the move:
“I expect a busy week but more busy with incoming and a few outgoing.
“Outgoing, not for players who were in the squad today, that’s clear.
“More outgoings for players who weren’t in the squad.”
What this means is that Todd Cantwell, Ianis Hagi and Ben Davies look like the big names heading out the Ibrox exit door.
Speaking as part of the pre-match build up, it was clear that Clement won’t rest until he gets the squad that he wants:
“So, I think the most important thing for every club is to get the right players in, to get the right quality. And everybody is in the club, I know, working really hard on that.
“Every moment that they’re awake, same thing for me. It’s busy weeks. You get a lot of players to look from recruitment until late at night.
“Or until very, very late in the night. But that’s our job to do also. So, we want to get people in who can raise the quality, otherwise it’s of no use. So, everybody’s working hard on that.”
Countdown to deadline day is on as Clement gets to work
The countdown is on.
It is bittersweet not having a Champions League qualifying game but it gives Rangers a full week to prepare for Celtic and frees up more time for Philippe Clement to spend with the recruitment staff and to speak to potential new signings.
With Celtic losing Matt O’Riley, they are weaker without their best player and main creator.
Midfielders who score and assist double figures for each category don’t grown on trees.
The frustration will always be that he cost similar money to Cantwell who has failed to live up to his potential and take the chance that Rangers gave him.
This week, Clement will want to sign his replacement, getting it right could be the difference between winning and losing the league.
