Philippe Clement has admitted that he is expecting a ‘busy’ end to the transfer window in terms of both incomings and outgoings.
But the Rangers boss pointed to more players coming into Ibrox than those going out which suggests the Gers are looking to sanction at least four new signings by the end of the week.
With high-earning centre-back Ben Davies now leaving the club, there are at least another two players who are likely to see an exit rubber stamped in the coming days.
As for incomings, there are a number of positions in Philippe Clement’s squad which are still needing to be filled before the window slams shut on Friday evening.

Rangers exodus set to reach 11 with double exit
Rangers have already seen several high-profile and high-earning players move on from the club this summer.
John Lundstram, Borna Barisic, Ryan Jack, Kemar Roofe and Jon McLaughlin all left Ibrox at the end of their contracts in May.
Rangers vice-captain Connor Goldson has joined them by moving to Aris Limassol, whilst Sam Lammers completed a permanent switch to the Eredivisie with FC Twente.
Robbie McCrorie has also moved to Kilmarnock in search of first-team football, whilst the aforementioned Ben Davies has moved on a season-long loan to Birmingham City.
But this summer’s Ibrox exodus is not expected to end there with another two players set to leave the club before the window closes.
Wantaway midfielder Todd Cantwell continues to be a source of immense frustration for Philippe Clement and should be out of the club before the end of the week.
Whilst there have been strong links between Cantwell and Trabzonspor, it remains unclear where the midfielder’s final destination will be.
Ianis Hagi, who was told he has no future in Glasgow, is also expected to move on this week but the player’s camp have talked down a switch to Rapid Bucharest.
There have also been links to the likes of Fiorentina with the Romanian preferring an option in a more high-profile league.
Whilst there remains interest in the likes of Cyriel Dessers and Rabbi Matondo, Philippe Clement has been clear that the valuations of either player have yet to be met by would-be suitors.
Other squad players who’ve come through at the academy like Alex Lowry or Adam Devine could also leave should the right offer – to loan or buy – land on Nils Koppen’s desk.
Rangers target late flurry of four new signings
At the same time as Rangers have seen a number of players move out of the club, several have come in.
The Gers have added Mohamed Diomande, Oscar Cortes, Jefte, Connor Barron, Liam Kelly, Clinton Nsiala, Hamza Igamane Vaclav Cerny and Robin Pröpper.
That’s nine signings against the eleven proposed exits from the club this summer.
As explained by Philippe Clement, Rangers are expected to be busier with incomings than outgoings this week so as many as four players are being targeted by the club.
Central defence is one area where Clement has confirmed we are likely to see movement, with the club already having a bid turned down for Almeria centre-back Kaiky.
It’s not clear if Rangers will return with an improved offer but this is a position Gers fans can expect to see strengthened.
Having freed up a substantial number from the club’s wage bill, there are a couple of other positions we can expect to see Rangers ramp up interest in.
Firstly this is in the middle of the pitch, where Rangers have sought a more experienced campaigner for the duration of the transfer window to date.
Links to Kenny McLean and Joan Jordan have fallen by the wayside but it remains an area of paramount importance for Philippe Clement and the recruitment team.
Another key area for Rangers’ recruitment team is left wing with the club already having a number of high profile bids reportedly turned down for players in this area.
Following the failure to secure Abdallah Sima on loan from Brighton this summer, Rangers will move on to other targets with a number of names mentioned.
These range from Fiorentina winger Josip Brekalo, Salernitana left-back Domagoj Bradaric, Benfica winger Tiago Gouveia and Plymouth Argyle’s Morgan Whittaker.
That leaves one more area of interest for Rangers this summer and given the high profile exits of Hagi and Cantwell, that’s likely to be the ‘number 10’ position.
With Tom Lawrence the only natural in this position, Rangers could also bring in another deeper midfielder and push Mohamed Diomande forward.
It’s certainly an area of concern and as Rangers target a centre-back, midfielder, left-winger and ‘number 10’ it looks like a ‘busy’ Philippe Clement is going to get his wish.
