Ross Wilson and Nottingham Forest have made an enquiry for Rangers-linked Swansea City striker Joel Piroe as relegated Leicester step up their pursuit.
That’s according to Wales Online, who are claiming there is also extensive interest from Serie A side Atalanta for the 23-year-old striker, who hit 20 goals for the Swans last season.

Rangers were linked to Joel Piroe, who joined Swansea from PSV Eindhoven two seasons ago, back in March but since then the Ibrox side appear to have moved on to other targets.
Now, the striker appears to have a whole host of names interested in him, including Nottingham Forest who according to the report “enquired” for the striker earlier in the summer.
Nottingham Forest, Leicester, Atalanta linked to Joel Piroe
The Premier League side’s recruitment is of course now handled by former Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson, who moved to the City Ground midway through last season.
However, the report claims that Leicester City and Atalanta are the two sides leading the hunt for Joel Piroe, with fellow relegated club Southampton also mentioned.
There are also murmurs of interest from cash-strapped Everton, who have just sold another once Rangers-linked striker in Ellis Simms in an £8m deal to Coventry City.
And the Rangers links around all these Joel Piroe reports don’t end there either, with Swansea City reportedly set to sign another Ibrox-linked forward to potentially replace the Dutchman.

Rangers have been routinely mentioned next to Blackpool striker Jerry Yates but the latest reports are now claiming that the Seasiders star is set for a £2.5m move to Swansea.
As for that apparent Atalanta interest, Rangers have also boosted the Italians’ transfer coffers this season signing a deal reportedly worth up to £3.5m to sign Dutch striker Sam Lammers.
That move, as well as deals for Abdallah Sima (Brighton) and Cyriel Dessers (Cremonese), suggest that a move for Joel Piroe was never really a starter this summer.
The Ibrox side are also said to remain keen on a move for Feyenoord striker Danilo, but that interest has been put on hold whilst the club tries to ship players out of the club.
Amongst those names leaving Ibrox could include Croatian striker Antonio Colak, who has been most recently linked with a move to Italy in the press.
