Rangers really need to get their act together if they are to be successful this season, on the pre-season showings, they are a long way off.
One area of the park that still needs to be upgraded is midfield with Connor Barron and Mohamed Diomande battling on their own to put out fires and get their team up the park.
A lack of goals is one thing, however, there has been a lack of control too.
Good news could be around the corner though with the news that Rangers have resubmitted another offer for Joan Jordan of Sevilla.

Rangers go back in for Joan Jordan
The 30-year old has been deemed surplus to requirements as the Spaniards flirted with the authorities:
“They have been told that they are not part of the project. We respect their contracts, but it is better for them to choose other options.
“The club informed Jordán’s representatives of its intention, we thought that his cycle had ended. It has been very clear to him. They have known this since… I think before Barça.
“His representative had a meeting with the club and it was clearly stated to him.”
An initial bid reported by Fabrizio Romano was rejected, however, it then emerged that Rangers might be lucky with a bid in the region of 50% of the player’s wages.
According to Fernando Serrano of Sevilla website Bombonera Insider, Nils Koppen is determined to get his man:
“Rangers have presented a new proposal to Sevilla FC for the loan of Joan Jordan.
“They have increased the percentage of salary that they would be responsible for.”
That percentage has, reportedly, risen to 40% of his £69,000 per week salary, or £27,000 per week.
Jordan signing could be the start of Rangers rebuild
Jordan is exactly the wise old head that Philippe Clement needs in his squad.
Someone to calm things down, dictate play and let those with more legs do the running.
With the players who look set to leave, the manager might have to consider tinkering with his formation.
Tom Lawrence has lost what pace he had and has been linked with a move to England, Todd Cantwell has requested to leave and Ianis Hagi is also expected to be sold.
Which leaves Alex Lowry as Rangers only number 10.
You can’t play this system without someone who is a natural in that role.
Have Jordan at the base of midfield and then let Barron and Diomande – or Nicolas Raskin too – press higher up the park.
They have more than enough energy to get up and down.
It has been evident that Rangers need more quality, Joan Jordan walks into Clement’s team and, more importantly, he would walk into the one across the city too.
