Rangers have been lurching from one crisis to another this summer as Philippe Clement continues to work with his hands tied.
The manager can’t do anything about the delays to the Ibrox upgrades but he will be frustrated at not being able to kick on with the rebuild of his squad.
He has hinted that players have been spoken to and several have verbally agreed to join Rangers, however, space needs to be made for them first.

Rangers target Vaclav Cerny shows work ethic qualities
Speculation has been rife since rumours emerged on social media that Czech winger Vaclav Cerny could be on his way to Glasgow in a move that makes a lot of sense.
On paper, he is everything that Clement needs on the right-hand side of the attack.
There are also unseen qualities that make him a no-brainer in any sort of deal.
As a teenager, Cery rose through the ranks of Ajax’s academy and was hotly tipped to make it to the top of European football.
It became clear early on that he had the work ethic to match his undoubted talent as the player himself revealed:
“I’ve learned Dutch in seven months. It was hard as I had to go through English. I didn’t expect to be able to understand jokes in the dressing room.
“I wanted to make it easier for everybody as they would not be forced to translate instructions into English.
“They told me nobody has learned so quickly. I know these are things that can be very important to build up a successful career.”
Being able to communicate with his teammates and manager is a huge bonus, it is an even bigger help that he already knows people at Rangers.
It also shows how hard Cerny is willing to work to fulfil his potential and get the best out of his career.
Cerny will see a few familiar faces at Auchenhowie
In 17 games together at Twente, Cerny and Danilo contributed to 9 goals as the pair set out to prove their worth at senior level.
One of the Twente coaches at the time was the new Rangers assistant manager Andries Ulderink.
Footballers are only human, seeing a familiar face will always help a new player to settle into new surroundings.
As we’ve seen with Jefte, Danilo is clearly the type of player who will go out of his way to help a teammate too.
With six goals in 17 international appearances for Czechia, Cerny is a step above any options that Clement currently has for the right-wing.
The rest is down to Nils Koppen to get a deal done and finally give Rangers fans something to be excited about.
