Ibrahim Adel is the latest name whose YouTube compilations are currently exciting the Rangers support.
The Egyptian winger, 23, has spent his entire career with Pyramids FC in his homeland but that could be about to change given some reports surrounding Rangers this week.
Arab media have claimed that Rangers have had a loan-to-buy bid thrown out for Ibrahim Adel after an impressive performance from the Egyptian at the Paris Olympics.
But now a report in Scotland has poured cold water on those suggestions, even if Adel is a player Rangers are well ‘aware’ of.

‘No Rangers offer’ for Ibrahim Adel
Rangers manager Philippe Clement didn’t mince his words when he said he ‘expects’ a busy end to the summer transfer window at Ibrox.
There are no fewer than four positions Rangers find themselves short in with a left-sided centre-back, a ‘number six’, a ‘number ten’, and a left winger areas of pressing concern.
There have been a number of names linked from left-wing with Ibrahim Adel the latest as Rangers look to soften the blow of missing out on Abdallah Sima.
Having been linked to the Premier League last summer, Egypt international Adel appears to tick a lot of boxes.
A versatile and exciting forward player who could add attacking intent, goals and assists to Clement’s squad – as well as a high potential resale value – Rangers links to the winger make a lot of sense.
But according to Chris Jack and the Rangers Review, talk of a transfer bid is premature.
Writing for the outlet as he gave a broad transfer update regarding the Gers’ ambitions over the next four days, Jack is clear that ‘no offer’ has been made for Adel to date.
An excerpt from the story reads:
“It is understood that no offer has been made for Ibrahim Adel, the Egyptian Under-23 forward, although Rangers are aware of the player’s situation at Pyramid FC.”
Rangers target winger transfer reinforcement
The claims come after those reports in Egypt had suggested Rangers were readying a second Ibrahim Adel bid.
The first, it was initially claimed, fell short of the valuation Pyramids FC have slapped on the 23-year-old winger this summer.
But with the transfer window bottlenecking, it’s interesting that Rangers links to Adel have not been shut down completely with the Ibrox side firmly in the hunt for left-wing reinforcements.
Ambitious interest in Benfica winger Tiago Gouveia appears to have been ended by a shoulder injury whilst there are a variety of other names doing the transfer rounds.
With Oscar Cortes only returning to training this week and major doubts surrounding the future of winger Scott Wright, both flanks are increasing areas of concern this summer.
Blackburn-linked Rangers winger Rabbi Matondo is expected to stay at Ibrox whilst Vaclav Cerny and Ross McCausland are the club’s other options on the wings.
Brazilian left-back Jefte has also been used at left-wing at times this season but with Ridvan Yilmaz out of the team due to injury cover in defence is limited.
