Rangers will look for a new manager if they decide to part ways with Danny Rohl ahead of the 2026/27 season.

As things stand, Rangers want to stick with Rohl despite losses to Motherwell and Hearts, which have put them out of the title chase.

They can afford to sack their manager, but the owners are looking for stability going into the new season.

Will Rangers sack Danny Rohl if they fail to win the league?

If he goes, who would be a good replacement for him?

Steven Gerrard

Re-hiring Steven Gerrard would be someone that the Rangers fanbase would get on board with.

The Liverpool legend built the club’s last title-winning squad as they finished the season unbeaten.

They played good football and a lot of players improved under his stewardship.

He commanded the respect of the dressing room and given the state the club are in currently, they need someone like Gerrard to help with the rebuild.

According to talkSPORT, he is also liked by Burnley and has emerged as an immediate contender for the job following Scott Parker’s departure.

Along with him, Craig Bellamy has also been linked with the job, but no decision has been made yet.

Gennaro Gattuso

Gennaro Gattuso would love to manage Rangers, and purely from a man-management perspective, this one makes a lot of sense.

The Italian knows what it means to represent a club of the Gers’ stature and would expect the players to raise the bar with regard to their performances.

He would have no problem showing the door to the bad apples at Ibrox and building a squad filled with young and driven players.

As he is currently out of work, Rangers will be able to hire him without a compensation fee.

Who do you see replacing him?

Derek McInnes

Derek McInnes has been linked to Rangers in the past, and will likely come into the conversation should Rohl leave.

He could be guiding Hearts to the title and will certainly be one of the managers in demand if he manages to do that.

McInnes has admirers at Ibrox, and there is a good chance that the Gers turn to him if they are looking for a new manager.
