Danny Rohl’s Rangers side suffered a 2-1 loss to Hearts on Monday, ending their hopes of winning the Scottish Premiership title.
The Light Blues led 1-0 at half-time, but were a completely different side in the second period, conceding two goals without any response.
Now, Rangers find themselves seven points behind league leaders Hearts on the SPFL table, making it virtually impossible to win the title.
Will Rangers sack Danny Rohl if they fail to win the league?
If he goes, who would be a good replacement for him?
Rangers set to keep the faith in Danny Rohl despite setback
Rangers News understands that despite losing both games after the split, Rohl has the backing of the owners.
The hierarchy understand that he took over mid-season and want to give him a summer transfer window to build the squad in his own image.
Sources tell Rangers News that he will be backed in the transfer market even without any Champions League revenue.
UEFA’s new rule would have made it easier for Rangers to qualify for the Champions League, but they would need to win the league for that.
Not having European commitments would give Rohl the opportunity to focus on domestic glory and guide the team to a few trophies next season.
Will Rangers re-sign Mikey Moore for the 2026/27 season?
His silence when asked about a return speaks volumes…
What areas Rohl wants to address this summer
Rohl is planning a squad clearout this summer as he knows that the current crop of players are not good enough to win the league.
The squad has been built by different managers, and if the owners are showing faith in the German, they must trust him with the incomings and outgoings.
Signing at least three new defenders permanently is imperative, given the number of defenders set to leave Ibrox.

Replacing James Tavernier is essential, but it is equally important to bring in a new centre-back and left-back.
Along with that, another midfielder will be considered so as to strengthen the depth and potentially push for a starting berth.
It is unlikely that they sign a new striker, having brought in three first-team forwards this season, but if one of them leaves, then he will need to be replaced.
A couple of wingers will also be targeted as it seems unlikely that Mikey Moore returns to Ibrox, and the same can be said about Andreas Skov Olsen.
