As we head into transfer deadline day, we could yet see a late flurry of activity at Ibrox.
Stevie Gerrard might be tight-lipped on any arrivals, but there could still be at least one come midnight tomorrow.
There’s also plenty of interest in some of our players too. Both for loan deals and permanent moves. Here’s the three biggest talking points heading into deadline day.

Securing short term futures of Tav and Morelos

Perhaps the most important part of deadline day for Rangers will be ensuring no movement for these two at all. Prized assets James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos have both reportedly been the subject of transfer interest. The Daily Record report Nice are readying an offer for Morelos, The Express say Southampton want Tavernier. But if we sell our two best players, can we kiss the title race goodbye?

One more signing to get over the line?

Rangers have already signed Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis on loan this window. We also snapped up Jordan Jones and Glen Kamara on pre-contract arrangements too. Steven Gerrard suggested in his pre-match Cowdenbeath presser yesterday that there’s only one more to come. That’s if we can get American international Matt Polster’s paperwork through on time.

At least two primed for the exits?

Reports in Mexico [La Vanguardia] yesterday suggested Rangers are set to tear up Carlos Pena’s contract. The Caixinha signing has been an unmitigated disaster and Rangers could finally be set to get rid, although the club remain tight lipped. The other exit surrounds one Jordan Rossiter, who’s desperate for game time after long injury lay-offs. Gerrard says he could well leave on loan by the end of transfer deadline day tomrrow.
