As Deadline Day looms, Steven Gerrard gave a transfer update during Tuesday afternoon’s press conference ahead of the trip to Cowdenbeath.
The manager reiterated the point he made after the victory over Livingston.

Speaking to Sky Sports on Sunday, he claimed there had been no formal offers for any Rangers players.
When asked today if that situation had changed, the answer,
captured by RangersTV, was a firm “no.”
Last week, the Daily Record reported that Nice were lining up a bid for Alfredo Morelos. This morning, Fotospor claimed that Turkish giants Galatasaray were also interested in the Colombian’s services.
After this update, though, it appears likely that El Buffalo will be staying put.

Rossiter could be on the move

However, he did suggest one temporary departure could yet materialise.
Jordan Rossiter has struggled for game time this season.
For once, that isn’t entirely down to injury. The midfielder has been fit for several months, as has been evidenced by appearances for the Reserves.

However, he has featured just five times for the first team this season.

“Young Jordan Rossiter, there’s a strong possibility he could go out on loan”, Gerrard explained.
“He’s speaking to a couple of different clubs…I’m hoping to find the right solution for Jordan, to go and get more game time.”
The midfielder’s last outing was a five minute cameo on Boxing Day, in the 1-1 draw with Hibernian.
At just 21, this is a sensible option. It can only be hindering his development to be sitting around on the bench.
The key is finding the right move. If he choses wisely, he will have the right platform from which to impress his gaffer from afar.
