Rangers chairman Andrew Cavenagh is a busy man, even though most of the players and Danny Rohl are currently on vacation.

While Rohl is not spending time on the training ground, his future still remains up in the air as RB Salzburg have made an approach for him.

Rangers are preparing for alternatives in case he leaves, with Cavenagh undoubtedly being the final decision maker.

Andrew Cavenagh watches four Rangers players train ahead of Scotland vs Haiti

Cavenagh, who plays a hands-on role at Rangers, keeps flying back and forth from the United States to Glasgow.

With the World Cup ongoing and no domestic football, the American is spending his time in his native country.

However, he is continuing to keep tabs on the Light Blues players as he was in Foxborough on Friday morning to watch them train.

Which Rangers star will fare the best at the World Cup?

The Gers have six players at the tournament.

Nicolas Raskin (top left), Lawrence Shankland (top right), Findlay Curtis (bottom left) and John Souttar (bottom right) are representing Rangers at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Rangers have four players in the Scotland squad.

Scotland have four Rangers players in the squad – Lawrence Shankland, John Souttar, Liam Kelly and Findlay Curtis, all of whom are in contention to feature on 14 June.

Shankland had an injury issue towards the end of the season, but he has got himself fit to represent his country at the World Cup.

Which Rangers players will start vs Haiti?

Scotland have taken on Bolivia and Curacao in their two friendlies once their squad was finalised for the World Cup.

They won both games 4-0 and 4-1, respectively, and Steve Clarke’s team selection provides clues for the Rangers players.

Kelly is unlikely to be starting as he will be the third-choice option, with either Angus Gunn or Craig Gordon being given the number one role.

Should Lawrence Shankland be named the Rangers captain?

Colin Hendry believes he deserves the armband right away…

Shankland started both the friendlies and even scored three goals, so he is expected to be named in the eleven against Haiti.

For Souttar, he started one and came off the bench in another, but given his experience with the national team, Clarke is likely to give him the nod to start as well.

Curtis, in his first senior international competition, will be a fringe player who may get a few minutes off the bench late on in the second half.
