As the hunt for the new manager of Rangers goes on, four coaches have been reportedly ruled out of the running to replace Michael Beale.
Over ten managers have now been linked to the job as Rangers look to salvage their season after dropping seven points behind in the Scottish Premiership.
After a substantial summer turnaround of the playing squad Rangers find themselves in a real mess and whilst the likes of Kevin Muscat are set to be interviewed, others are seemingly not up to the task.
Here are four options who’ve already been ruled out of the running.

Graham Potter
For many people, ex-Brighton and Chelsea boss Graham Potter was the clear and obvious candidate to replace Michael Beale as the new manager of Rangers.
Boasting Premier League experience and considered one of the brightest young English coaches around, Graham Potter distanced himself via the press almost as quickly as he was linked.
Marcelo Gallardo
There was some confusion surrounding those new Rangers manager links to Marcelo Gallardo, with the Argentinian manager spoken about as a potential blockbuster appointment.
But with those reports proven to be circular and without substance, this was a link which never threatened to genuinely get off the ground.
Ryan Lowe
One of the most underwhelming links in the new Rangers manager stakes, Preston boss Ryan Lowe was mentioned in the Scottish tabloid press.
However – and in the only case of this to date – sources within Rangers moved to quickly to quash any suggestion the Englishman could take over in Glasgow.

Pascal Jansen
One of the most interesting links of the entire saga, AZ Alkmaar boss Pascal Jansen was at one point the favourite amid reports he wanted the Rangers gig.
But those early reports have been tempered by comments from the horse’s mouth, as Pascal Jansen actively distanced himself from the new manager’s job at Ibrox.
The coach has described a move to Rangers as “completely out of the question.”
