Rangers are looking for their next manager but one name who has been linked who it won’t be is Ryan Lowe.
The Preston North End manager emerged as a possible target in the last 24 hours, however, he has now been ruled out.
Rangers media partner Heart and Hand who are the go-to outlet to refute social media or mainstream press claims, has revealed that Ryan Lowe isn’t being considered.

Rangers rule out Ryan Lowe for manager’s job
Writing on X, they simply said:
“Nothing in rumours of Rangers interest in Ryan Lowe.”
Interestingly, news of Rangers having Ryan Lowe on a shortlist reached the man himself with The Rangers Review covering the response that he gave when asked about the job:
“Whether it is true or it’s not true, I don’t know. But, as far as I’m concerned, this football club and the fans have stuck by me.
“I think I will probably be one of 20 or 30 people to be linked with a fantastic opportunity to manage someone like Rangers Football Club.”
The whole answer is very diplomatic and doesn’t rule himself out or in the running, instead, choosing to praise the hierarchy and fans of Preston.

It was a name that never seemed to sit right with the rest but with a trustworthy Rangers source ruling out Ryan Lowe, you can safely assume that he isn’t being considered.
What is interesting, is that none of the other names mentioned in recent days have been ruled out.
Frank Lampard, Pascal Jansen, Kevin Muscat, Chris Wilder and Phillipe Clement to name but a few.
This doesn’t mean for certain that they are on the list but why would Rangers rule out Ryan Lowe and not the others?
The plot thickens.
