The latest news suggests Rangers are now being strongly-linked with five new transfers as the club prepares for the biggest window in recent memory.
The Ibrox side’s supporters are demanding change after a devastatingly poor campaign, in which all three domestic trophies have been meekly surrendered by underperforming stars.
There are several set to be moved out of the club in the coming weeks with other transfers being lined up, and the latest news suggests there’s something in five major links to Rangers.
All five players fulfill different roles on the park with the combination of a GK, RB, CDM, CM and LW actually making up quite the five-a-side team if they ever fancied it.

Conflicting Jack Butland Rangers reports
Jack Butland is the stopper most extensively linked to Rangers, as the club looks to replace the influence of legendary goalie Allan McGregor come the end of the season.
MORE RANGERS STORIES
Backup stopper Jon McLaughlin has failed to impress as number one and, while Robby McCrorie’s recent performances are encouraging, another goalkeeper is expected to be signed.
Despite claims that Jack Butland had reportedly all but signed on at Rangers earlier in the month, there are now claims Man Utd want to double the Crystal Palace loanee’s wages.
Dujon Sterling the closest to being done?
One player who is perhaps a little further down the line is versatile right-back Dujon Sterling, who can play across the defence or in midfield.
Having worked with Michael Beale in the Chelsea youth set, the Rangers manager is well aware of the Chelsea kid’s qualities with Sterling on loan at Stoke this season.
Reportedly turning down a contract offer from Stoke and the chance of Chelsea renewal as his deal ticked down at Stamford Bridge, all the reports are claiming this move is all but done.
Jose Cifuentes most exciting of news on Rangers transfers
Then there is one of the most exciting pieces of Rangers transfer news to come out of the window, in the shape of Ecuadorean international midfielder Jose Cifuentes.
The Gers are said to have beaten off a sizeable amount of competition from around Europe to strike a deal for the midfielder, with the 24-year-old out of contract at MLS side LAFC in the summer and the likes of Fabrizio Romano reporting on the deal.
An exciting move for the World Cup star looks to be nearing completion and here’s the type of player Rangers are set to get in Cifuentes.
No news is good news on Kieran Dowell
There is also Norwich City midfielder Kieran Dowell who has reportedly agreed to join Rangers after the expiration of his contract at the English Championship club.
Another who has been strongly linked to Rangers in the past, the former England U21 international is well known to Beale and could be about to join up with former Canaries teammate Todd Cantwell in Glasgow.
While things have gone a little quiet on this potential signing, it looks like no news is good news. Given the substantial reporting around it, we’d be surprised if Dowell no longer transfers to Rangers.
Conflicting Luis Palma news on potential Rangers transfer
Last but by no means least, there is Honduran winger Luis Palma, who represents something of a dark horse on this list and is the only player who will command a fee.
A 13-goal season in the Super League reportedly has Rangers interested and, amid reports of the club’s presence in Greece all season, leading insiders Heart & Hand commented on the link last week.
There had been some suggestions Rangers aren’t interested in the Latin American but once again these have been rebuffed by reports in the player’s home country.
Whatever the case, this move clearly isn’t cut and dry and, should Rangers manage to take Palma to Ibrox, they will reportedly need to pay around £4.4m for the privilege.
