A leading Greek journalist has claimed there has been no Rangers bid for Aris winger Luis Palma as he names the fee it will take to get a deal done.

Giannis Chorianopoulos – who is the editor of Greek outlet Sportime – has taken to Twitter to claim that Rangers are “keen” to sign the 23-year-old winger.

However, the journalist has claimed that there has been no official bid for the player whilst it will take a fee of €5m (£4.3m) to sign Luis Palma this summer.

Luis Palma fee named as Rangers look to Greece

Rangers have been extensively linked to Honduran international winger Luis Palma heading into the summer window, with the player pulling up trees in the Greek Super League.

With Ibrox winger Ryan Kent also expected to move on in the summer amid interest from the likes of Club Brugge, Luis Palma could represent a suitable replacement for the attacker.

Rangers have reportedly had an extensive presence in Greece this season, with reports of several scouting trips to the country as the club prepares for a busy window.

There have also been links to the likes of Panathinaikos pair Dimitrios Kourbelis and Giannis Kotsiras, while there have also been rather ambitious links to Olympiakos midfielder Hwang In-Beom.

Rangers are preparing for a busy transfer window as Michael Beale looks to spearhead a summer of change at Ibrox.

The Gers could be facing an extensive rebuild with several key players out of contract and others within the squad expected to move as things go more than a little stale in Govan.

With the club failing to pick up a single trophy this season, Rangers fans are eager for a fresh approach and perhaps Luis Palma can be a new hero for the Ibrox fans if the club can stump up the required fee.
