Feyenoord have made an enquiry for Cercle Brugge striker Ayase Ueda as Rangers wait on a potentially key Danilo domino to fall.
That’s according to Carlos Aviña, the Belgian Pro League side’s technical director, who has been speaking to Dutch outlet 1908 about the Feyenoord interest.
Appearing to confirm those Feyenoord links to Ayase Ueda, Avina also claims there is interest from the Premier League, La Liga and the MLS in the 23-goal forward.
Claiming that Cercle Brugge are very relaxed about the player’s situation, the Mexican also cheekily suggested that Feyenoord can either cough up for Ayase Ueda or forget about a transfer.

“You know which Dutch club wants him, but one club from the Premier League, one from the MLS and two from Spain have also shown concrete interest,” said Avina.
“They know our point of view, they know that butter has to be added to the fish and how much. We are in no hurry.
“I am convinced that next season he will continue his scoring curve that has been evolving for years.
“I’m not afraid that he will suddenly shoot only five or six next season. His market value can only increase.”
Feyenoord told to cough up for Ayase Ueda
According to 1908, Feyenoord will have to pay €10m (£8.5m) if they want Ayase Ueda in this window, with a fire now being lit under the Eredivisie champions amid those Rangers links to Danilo.
Reports have suggested that Rangers have submitted a €6m (£5m) bid for the Brazilian whilst there is some conflicting reportage regarding Feyenoord’s response.

With Rangers manager Michael Beale confirming the club’s interest remains live, the ball is in Feyenoord’s court with the Eredivisie champions clearly in the hunt for a replacement.
If the club doesn’t want to cough up the £8.5m to sign Ayase Ueda, there have also been strong links to one former Celtic star’s son as Rangers wait on the Danilo dominoes to fall towards Ibrox.
