ZTE are aware of the interest shown in the Nigerian defender and are open to cashing in on him in the coming days.

The centre-back has given his approval for the move and looks all set to switch clubs in the coming days.

Despite joining the Hungarian club at the start of 2026, he will be leaving them, ensuring that he makes them a significant profit.

Rangers News understands that the overall package involved will take the deal to over £4m, with Basel reportedly winning the race.

Does Victory’s move to Basel mean Rangers are not going to sign another centre-back?

The Gers have been busy in the transfer window, especially after the arrival of McInnes.

In total, five new signings have been made, and all have been in different positions.

There has been a new striker, a new midfielder, a new right-back, a new centre-back, as well as a new goalkeeper, but there is still so much work left to be done.

Which area should Rangers prioritise on strengthening this summer? 🤔

Andrew Cavenagh has made some bold promises!

With regard to signing another centre-back, despite missing out on Victory, the club are very likely to bring in another one through the door.

Derek Cornelius and Nasser Djiga are not going to return following their loan spells, leaving the Ibrox outfit two players shy in that area.

Rangers have shown an interest in Sankhoun Diawara, who plays for Troyes, and the pursuit to sign him could be ramped up following this development.
