The 24-year-old is formerly of Arsenal, as he came up the ranks at the Premier League champions.

He joined the North London outfit in 2010 and was there until 2023 before he left for Belgian club Kortrijk.

Alebiosu has also had loan spells at Kilmarnock and St Mirren, so he has already been accustomed to life in the Scottish Premiership.

What Alebiosu’s managers have said about him previously

Michael O’Neill, who was the Blackburn boss until the end of the 2025/26 season, was highly impressed by what he saw of the Nigerian right-back.

After his team’s 2-1 victory over Millwall, O’Neill singled out Alebiosu for praise, stating that he was impressed with his movement.

The Point quoted him as saying: “I was pleased with the goals we scored and the movement on the side, particularly from Ryan Alebiosu, who I thought was brilliant.”

Valerien Ismael, who was the Rovers manager when the defender joined, waxed lyrical about his potential.

The manager was also impressed with his speed and frame and believed that he could become an important player for the English outfit.

He told the club’s website: “He’s a very promising player. Ryan is exactly the profile we need. He’s tall, he’s very, very fast; he’s an attacking full-back with all the potential we see in him. We know that we have to work with him, but this is my job.”
