Rangers have stepped up their pursuit of Feyenoord striker Danilo according to the latest news from the Netherlands.
The 24-year old Brazilian has been lined up by Michael Beale to join the Light Blues attack, as confirmed by the Gers boss after the Newcastle United friendly, but he won’t come cheap.
According to Dutch media outlet The Algemeen Dagblad (AD), Rangers have bid €6m (£5.2m) plus add ons for Danilo.

Rangers move for Danilo a cause for excitement
\The revelation is sure to excite Rangers fans who have maybe been concerned at the lack of goals brought into the club so far this summer.
Cyriel Dessers has a good pedigree, as does Sam Lammers, but neither forward has been prolific for a few seasons.
Danilo represents the sort of signing that should have been made after winning the league title in 2020/21.
Young, hungry to be number one and with the potential to progress even further.
The reported fee is a lot of money for Rangers, especially with Dessers having already signed for a similar amount, and upping the bid from a reported £3.5m rejected bid is a sign of intent.

A clear indicator that Michael Beale is going to want to play with two strikers this season.
Feyenoord have been linked with other strikers but will be reluctant to Rangers have Danilo until they have something confirmed.
The former Ajax academy graduate is said to be keen to move to Rangers and a quick look on social media suggests that fans would, for once, be unanimous in their desire to see Danilo arrive in Glasgow.
Rangers have been trying to get all their transfer business conducted as soon as possible, hopefully, this latest bid for Danilo is accepted and sees Michael Beale inch closer to completing his squad rebuild.
