Every summer there is one transfer saga and this year for Rangers it looks like it is going to be Danilo.
The 24-year old Brazilian hasn’t been ruled out as an option despite the signing of Cyriel Dessers and he is a player to get excited about.
In two pre-season friendlies he now has two goals and an assist making Rangers job of persuading Feyenoord to part with Danilo even harder, with his latest performance covered by his club’s media team on YouTube.

Playing against Club Brugge, Danilo calmly controls a long diagonal pass with his right foot before slotting the ball into the bottom corner with his left.

The sort of chance that Fashion Sakala either rattles into the top corner or fires into row z.
For the assist, we have to be generous as Igor Paixao does all the hard work.
Rangers-linked Danilo spins on the half way line to make space for himself before setting Paixao off down the wing, 1v1.
He winger does the rest, however, Danilo had made up the ground and was available for a cut-back.
A good indication of his attitude in a pre-season friendly.

Rangers need a number nine to be flexible in terms of how they play.
They have to be capable of being the main man in the box but also, against better opposition, of holding the ball up and bringing others into play.
Like Cyriel Dessers, the Brazilian forward can do both and this latest outing does nothing to calm the excitement about any possible bid from Rangers for Danilo after one in the region of £3.5m was reportedly rejected.
Should Antonio Colak leave as expected though, the safe money would be on Michael Beale going back in for a striker who is on form and ready to make an immediate impact.
