Rangers fans will be excited to get a glimpse of Cyriel Dessers for the first time when he lines up in Light Blue.
The new Gers striker has big boots to fill, however, with years of top flight and continental experience, he will back himself to be a success.
Rangers faced stiff opposition to land Cyriel Dessers though with the Nigeria international revealing the options that he had, as reported by The Rangers Review.

Michael Beale clearly made a positive impression on the 28-year old as he looked to persuade his top target to come to Ibrox.
Rangers coup to persuade Cyriel Dessers to sign
However, according to Rangers latest hero, Cyriel Dessers claimed that it wasn’t a difficult decision after all when asked who else were in the hunt for his signature:
“It’s not easy to just name the clubs who were interested, I don’t think they’d be happy! I had some options to stay in Italy, or Belgium and the Netherlands.
“Rangers are massive and I like what is happening here, the group of players here already and the manager who has a really good idea of what he wants on and off the pitch is fundamental for me. That’s why I made the choice.
“I looked at the training ground, the stadium, how the club wants to work which is very professional and that’s something I was looking for, then it was a pretty easy choice actually.”

Signing a striker that had plenty of options is always a good sign, especially one that needed a reported £5.6m transfer fee to be released by Cremonese.
Dessers has made a positive impression at almost every club he has been at and a renewed hope for success is creeping through the support as Michael Beale re-builds what was a stale squad in need of fresh legs.
It would have been easy, before signing for Rangers, for Cyriel Dessers to return to a league where he has been successful in the past or in Italy where expectations were low and he was already settled.
Instead, he has chosen pressure, history, and the chance to become the main man at a European giant.
