Rangers have cleared the way for wantaway Ibrox winger Ryan Kent to strike a deal with Fenerbahce amid reports of a lucrative £6m contract offer.
The ex-Liverpool talent, now 26, is one of five key first-team players who are set to leave Ibrox ahead of the summer with their contracts expiring in the next few weeks.
Ryan Kent probably heads the list which also includes Allan McGregor, Filip Helander, Scott Arfield and Alfredo Morelos, with Rangers set to free up around £4.5m from the wage budget.
Rangers reportedly paid £7m to take Kent to Ibrox from Anfield and there are debates raging regarding the value for money of the signing and the club’s squad management over the last few seasons.
Ryan Kent free to announce Fenerbahce deal
Whatever your take, Ryan Kent will be rocking up elsewhere next season with Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce reportedly topping the list of suitors.
While reports have cooled in recent days, last week there was news coming out of Turkey suggesting the Istanbul outfit have agreed a £1.5m-per-year deal with the Rangers winger.
Offering to pay Kent around £30k per week, the three years with an option of one more would see the attacker rake in a cool £6m over a potential four-year stay in Turkey.
Now that Rangers have announced his departure, there is nothing stopping Kent from announcing a deal with Fenerbahce. We will find out in the coming weeks about the legitimacy of the reporting in the country.

Beale praises “fantastic contribution”
Rangers manager Michael Beale paid tribute to Ryan after news of his departure broke, with the Rangers boss claiming he has been “fantastic” for the Ibrox side.
“Ryan Kent’s contribution has been fantastic, certainly in big matches in Europe and domestically,” said Beale.
“This season hasn’t gone the way Ryan would have liked it to but he’s certainly been an excellent player for Rangers.”
In five seasons at Rangers, including one which was initially on loan from Liverpool, Kent made 218 appearances, scoring 33 goals and laying on 57 assists.
In that time he won the 2019 PFA Scotland Players’ Young Player of the Year Award, the club’s 55th Scottish Premiership trophy, the first Scottish Cup in 12 years and was instrumental in the run to the Europa League Final.
Fenerbahce aren’t the only club said to be interested in Kent, with Belgian side Club Brugge and Premier League Burnley also mentioned.
