As Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is linked with a move to newly crowned Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray, those Fenerbahce links to Ryan Kent present an interesting subplot.
According to Turkish outlet Takvim, Colombian firebrand Alfredo Morelos is set to be offered a contract by Galatasaray as he prepares to leave Rangers this summer.

Alongside Ryan Kent, Allan McGregor, Scott Arfield and Filip Helander, Morelos will exit Rangers when his contract expires at the beginning of June, freeing up a substantial amount on the wagebill.
While the likes of Premier League Everton have been linked to Morelos, Takvim claim Galatasaray are set to put in an offer for the striker this week.
Alfredo Morelos linked to Galatasaray
That poses an interesting option for Alfredo Morelos given the club’s status as Super Lig champions, and the fact they will be in the Champions League next season.
MORE RANGERS STORIES
But if the Colombian signs on the dotted line in Istanbul, then Alfredo Morelos may well be lining up against Ryan Kent in one of the fiercest rivalries in world football.
There is no love lost between fans of Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, teams that lie on either side of the Bosporus Strait in Turkey’s capital, and both Morelos and Kent are aware of what a fierce rivalry does to a city.
But unlike Glasgow, the fact that the clash between Turkey’s two most storied clubs stands out across the multitude of football teams in Istanbul is a testament to its ferocity.
Ryan Kent is linked to Fenerbahce
The Morelos links to Galatasaray come against the backdrop of Kent links to Fenerbahce which – despite the often frenetic nature of Turkish reporting – appear to have some substance.
Amid claims a three-year deal with an extra-option worth up to £6m has been agreed for the ex-Liverpool winger, the latest coming out of the country continues to talk up a potential deal.
Turkish outlet Sabah claim that a deal to bring Kent to Fenerbahce is set to be completed and, if both transfers go through, there will be a Rangers tinge to the Intercontinental Derby next season.
