Premier League outfit Everton are “interested” in signing out-of-contract Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos, who will leave Ibrox this summer.

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, the Toffees are rivalling Turkish giants Fenerbahce when it comes to potentially securing the transfer of the Colombian.

They claim that whilst Fenerbahce are “working hard” to add Alfredo Morelos to their ranks, they face competition from Everton who are “interested” in the 26-year-old.

Whilst it’s not the first time Alfredo Morelos has been linked with Everton, it’s the first substantial Premier League link El Bufalo has had heading into the final few weeks of his contract.

Alfredo Morelos linked to Everton

Having previously discussed his “dream” to play in the Premier League, the lure of a switch to Goodison Park and Everton may prove too strong for Alfredo Morelos.

But it’s worth noting that – at the time of writing – it is only Fanatik who are carrying the report as Alfredo Morelos’ contract ticks down at Rangers.

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has been a talismanic presence over his six years in Glasgow, but his time at Ibrox has certainly been mixed.

A downturn in Rangers form leave a sour taste as the boisterous forward prepares to move on, but his highlight reel of legendary moments in Light Blue won’t be forgotten easily.

Scoring 124 goals in 268 Rangers games, Alfredo Morelos is also the club’s all-time top European goalscorer with 29 strikes.

Rangers reunion in Turkey?

Fenerbahce – who have also long been linked with the striker – represent an interesting option given links between the Turks and one of Alfredo Morelos’ Rangers teammates.

Ibrox winger Ryan Kent is another name who is expected to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season and, if the latest reports are to be believed, Kenty could be heading to Fenerbahce.

Should Alfredo Morelos ditch the reported Everton interest and follow suit, it could represent a Rangers reunion of sorts out in Turkey.
