Aside from those that left Rangers on free transfers, there haven’t been a lot of departures and Glen Kamara seems to be taking an age to decide where his next club will be.

The Finland international was already talking in the past tense about his time in Glasgow during the June international break and it was expected that his exit was imminent.

Two months later and Rangers still have Glen Kamara on the books, a move to Leeds Utd might not be as close as previously mentioned, however, The 4th Official has claimed that they are still in the race.

Several clubs have been linked with an interest in the Rangers midfielder and this is good news for Glen Kamara and Michael Beale.

The 4th Official has claimed that the Championship outfit want to “get this done” and that the competition is helping to push the fee to over £5m.

Rangers maybe didn’t see the best of Glen Kamara last season but shouldn’t have detracted from how good a player he could be for a new team.

Playing in a more open league or one with a higher technical standard would always suit him better and it is only a surprise that he didn’t move sooner.

The Gers boss has already revealed that the money he has spent this summer is pretty much breaking even once the Finland international departs.

Michael Beale hinted that Rangers are still looking for a natural replacement to Ryan Kent and a left-sided defender, the sooner Glen Kamara’s transfer is concluded, the sooner he can move on to other targets.

Hopefully, he won’t have too long to wait.
