A Rangers flop is set to be offloaded by his club this summer transfer window as a mass exodus unfolds.
Wolfsburg’s demotion to the 2nd Bundesliga has triggered a significant restructuring at the Volkswagen Arena, with several high-profile departures already confirmed and more expected to follow in the coming weeks.
The Danish contingent at the club has been particularly hard hit. Adam Daghim has returned to Red Bull Salzburg, Jesper Lindstrom is heading back to Napoli, and Jonas Wind has departed after his contract expired.
Those are three exits that signal the scale of the upheaval underway at Wolfsburg, but the Danish farewell is far from over, and the next name in the exit queue will be familiar to Rangers supporters for all the wrong reasons.
Andreas Skov Olsen’s future hangs in the balance…
What have you made of his time at Ibrox?
Andreas Skov Olsen to leave Wolfsburg as Rangers loan spell comes back to haunt him
According to Danish outlet Bold, Andreas Skov Olsen will leave Wolfsburg this summer despite having a contract until 2029.
The German club have decided that the winger has no future at the club following a disappointing loan spell at Rangers in the second half of last season.
Skov Olsen failed to make a meaningful impact at Ibrox, and that underwhelming cameo in Scottish football appears to have sealed his fate at his parent club too.

Wolfsburg forked out a fee in the region of £12million to acquire his services from Club Brugge in January last year, while Rangers had an option to buy him for around £8.6million this summer.
However, the Wolves will now look to cut their losses on the Dane by offloading him this summer.
That means Skov Olsen will be available for a cut-price fee, but nothing will convince the Andrew Cavenagh-led club to pursue a deal for him.

Gers could re-sign another former loan player
However, the Ibrox outfit could bring another former loan player back to the club this summer.
In recent days, it has emerged that Rangers are considering signing Vaclav Cerny from Besiktas amid uncertainty over his future in Turkiye.
New Besiktas head coach Vincenzo Italiano has already approved the winger’s sale, leaving the door open for the Light Blues to bring him back to Govan.
It now remains to be seen if Derek McInnes will give his green light for a potential deal once he finalises his move to Ibrox.
