Ibrahim Sangare really is a player that Rangers fans will be glad to see the back of but, despite an increase in speculation, the PSV Eindhoven midfielder isn’t going anywhere.

The Ivory Coast international has controlled almost every game that he has played against the Light Blues and is destined to move onto bigger and better things.

According to Dutch journalist Rik Elfrink writing in ED though, Ibrahim Sangare is going nowhere and Rangers will have to deal with him when they face PSV Eindhoven once again.

Elfrink, writing in ED, has claimed that PSV have battened down the hatches, however, there is still a small glimmer of hope:

“Nobody leaves the door, is currently the motto at PSV. Unless there’s really no other way.”

So, you’re telling me there’s a chance?

Ibrahim Sangare in line to face Rangers despite speculation

Unfortuntaley, the only reported bid has been from Nottingham Forest for a fee said to be in the region of £21m.

Ibrahim Sangare has a £32m release clause and a player of his ability is worth every penny of that, he has stood out like a sore thumb against every Rangers midfield he has faced.

If the clause is met, PSV might not have as much of a say though and hopefully, with the transfer window drawing to a close, the likes of Bayern Munich and Liverpool follow up their interest with a bid.

Johan Bakayoko has been the subject of concrete interest and both of these reports could go either way.

They will either look for one last hurrah at PSV or have one eye on their next club and not want to put a big money move in jeopardy.

Now would be a good time for their respective hamstrings to start getting tight, even if PSV are refusing to play ball.
