Rangers will be hoping Romano transfer claim comes to fruition

If Rangers can make it through to the Champions League play-offs by seeing off Servette, PSV Eindhoven will provide as stiff a test as Michael Beale could ask for.

The Dutch giants look to have done the hard work against Sturm Graz thanks in no small part to a player who, hopefully, might not be with them for much longer.

Johan Bakayoko was instrumental in their 4-1 win with two assists that highlight exactly what Rangers need to be aware of if we have to face PSV Eindhoven, however, Fabrizio Romano has hinted at a possible good news.

Rangers bonus if Johan Bakayoko transfer report comes true

If there is one thing that the Light Blues defence has struggled with in the last couple of seasons, it is stopping cross balls and then dealing with them.

Johan Bakayoko is a flying machine and has as good a target as he could wish for in the experienced Luuk de Jong.

According to the transfer supremo, “many clubs” are considering a move for the xx-year old with Premier League returnees Burnley keen to make a move.

With Johan Bakayoko and Ibrahim Sangare both being linked with transfers, it would be nice if Rangers could fulfil their part of the bargain and PSV lost two of their best players.

The likelihood, is that both players will do their bit for PSV first but money and player power can shout loudly in these situations.

To make the Champions League group stages you need a bit of luck.

The draw might not have been kind but momentum would certainly be lifted off the team we could be facing if they were absent a key player or two.
