If John Bennett wants to get Rangers fans back on side, providing Philippe Clement with a blockbuster signing for the forward line would be a good start.
The right-wing problem hasn’t been solved for years with Abdallah Sima the closest the club has come – the Senegal international could be back at Ibrox next season if the manager gets his way.
Money is tight, however, Rangers have the chance to sign a player who was “approached” in January and for who, a £5.5m transfer fee is buying money.

Mixed signals as Rangers-linked Luca Langoni given exit news
Luca Langoni, according to Argentinian site El Crack Deportivo, has been told that he is surplus to requirements.
The 22-year old played in the Copa Libertadores final and in Boca Juniors most recent Copa Sudamericana fixture too which makes his name being on the transfer list all the more strange.
Argentinian pundit Horacio Pagani has previously tipped Langoni for the top:
“Langoni is going to have a fate similar to that of Julián Álvarez. He is a phenomenal player because he plays with audacity. He has the personality to catch the ball and kick at the goal, he plays with a lot of determination.”
Former Boca player and coach Abel Alves is also a fan:
“Langoni has movements equal to Graciani, Alfredo also moved very well in the area like this boy. Langoni has a tremendous nose for goal.”

Rangers can sign elite winger on the cheap
Clubs in MLS have been linked with a move for Langoni and Rangers will miss a trick if they let the winger slip through their fingers when his release clause sets his value at more than double this amount.
Langoni is capable of beating players one-v-one and has plenty of pace, however, it is his eye for a goal and ability to find himself in the right place at the right time that is enticing.
The last couple of seasons has seen him suffer a series of hamstring injuries but he appears to be at full fitness now and looking to get his career back on track – there’s always a catch.
Boca only extended Langoni’s current contract last September so they did consider him one for the future.
Nils Koppen has cast Rangers net further than ever before in recent months and a link to South America can only be a good thing.
The recruitment director has to sell the club’s proximity to the Premier League across the border.
Considering the fees paid for Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers last summer, or Ryan Kent in 2019, £5m for such a talented and proven young winger is below the going rate.
It is certainly below what Rangers have paid for inferior players in the past.
