Rangers have two weeks left to rectify a problem that Luca Langoni of Boca Juniors could be the perfect solution to.
Left-backs seem to be getting linked on a daily basis, however, the 21-year old winger has now been mentioned as a possible target for Philippe Clement as the Gers boss looks to improve his squad.
According to Dom Smith of the Evening Standard, Rangers have made an approach for Luca Langoni in what would be a serious coup for Nils Koppen as director of recruitment.

Rangers enquire about Boca Juniors star Luca Langoni
Langoni, to paint a picture of his current worth, came off the bench in the first-half for Boca in the 2-1 defeat to Fluminense in the Copa Libertadores final – the biggest game in South American football.
Playing for the Argentinian giants is no mean feat with the pressure not too dissimilar that he would face at Ibrox, with stars like Edins
Having started the 22/23 season on fire, injury and a change of manager saw his importance in the team change but he was still featuring regularly.
Writing for South American football magazine The Copa Club, Nathan Foyes describes just how exciting a talent Luca Langoni is and how good he could be for Rangers:
“Often found operating on the right hand side, although he can play on either flank, Langoni possesses a natural instinct in front of goal.
“Not only can he sniff out a goalscoring opportunity, his dribbling ability and pinpoint passing makes him a defenders nightmare in the final third.”
If this doesn’t sound like exactly the type of winger Rangers have been crying out for, I don’t know what does.
The Standard claims that Rangers are joined by Nice and Sevilla in monitoring Luca Langoni in a transfer rumour that is every bit as exciting as the short-lived Michy Batshuayi story.
Most of the time, you get what you pay for, although football tends to have its own rules in the transfer market.
Rangers have to get into the habit of bringing players like Langoni to Europe before other clubs to have a better chance of making a profit if they do well.
Koppen is going to bring a more worldwide approach to recruitment but Gers fans will be more concerned about quality rather than where they are coming from.
Luca Langoni though, ticks every box if Philippe Clement is going to get the players he needs to take Rangers back to the top of Scottish football.
