Rangers are now being linked with a move to land Luca Langoni with the Boca Juniors talent thought to be on the Ibrox transfer radar.
Rangers have landed just one signing so far this month with striker Fabio Silva arriving on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Philippe Clement will surely want more new faces though and an intriguing name has popped up on the rumour mill.
Reports on Monday indicated that Rangers have made an approach to sign Boca Juniors talent Luca Langoni.
Nice and Sevilla are also thought to have made moves for Langoni, so let’s dig into the Argentinian ahead of what could be a major coup…
Luca Langoni, the story so far
Langoni hails from Gregorio de Laferrère in Buenos Aires, around 40 minutes away from Boca’s famous La Bombonera home.
The winger joined Boca as a kid and has made his way up through their famed youth ranks.
Langoni was handed a first-team debut in June 2022 and has now become a star for the Argentinian giants.
10 goals in 45 appearances for Boca means Langoni has emerged as a real sensation for Boca, predominantly playing down the right flank.
Langoni has also played up front and on the left flank and is being backed for a huge future at just 21.

It’s difficult not to get excited about this kind of rumour.
Langoni has broken into the Boca side with real force and comparisons to Manchester City star Alvarez are hugely exciting.
Rangers need to add quality down the flanks and Langoni would certainly fit the bill, bringing immediate quality alongside enormous potential.
Rangers will naturally face huge competition for Langoni but this would be the kind of signing supporters would love to see.
The money involved may be a problem, but if Rangers have a chance to bring Langoni to Ibrox, we would love to see the club push for a deal.
