Newly promoted Premier League side Bournemouth are now in pole position to sign Rangers-linked Joe Rothwell, according to a report.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, who have reported that the Cherries are closing in on the race to sign the player as his contract expires at Blackburn Rovers.

One of the Championship’s top performers over the last few seasons, it now looks like the 27-year-old ex-Man United trainee will get a shot at the Premier League.
But for Rangers fans still hoping the Ibrox side can steal a march on the Premier League for Joe Rothwell they can take solace in a series of reports leading up to this one.
Joe Rothwell linked to Rangers, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest move
Only last week there were claims that Nottingham Forest had won the race to sign Rothwell, disappointing Rangers supporters.
And before that there were claims that it was “almost certain” the midfielder would be signing on at Ibrox.
Until the scarf is above this player’s head in particular, we’ll be taking all these stories with a pinch of salt.
There is much interest in Joe Rothwell after an impressive season at Ewood Park in the Championship and the midfielder is also said to be attracting interest from Fulham.

In fact, the newly promoted Cherries side even failed in a January bid for the player but now it appears to be the Vitality and not Ibrox where Joe Rothwell will head next season.
Well, at least according to this latest report.
Meanwhile, one leading Rangers star has dropped a major hint regarding his plans for the future amid serious links elsewhere.
