Rangers have been linked with a move for Everton right-back Nathan Patterson as a replacement for James Tavernier.
Tavernier will be leaving Rangers at the end of the season as his contract is set to expire, and he will not be signing an extension.
The right-back remains a regular starter for the Light Blues, with Chris Sutton criticising his performance against Hearts.

Nathan Patterson likely to leave Everton as Rangers place him on transfer shortlist
Rangers have Patterson on their four-man shortlist to replace Tavernier in this summer’s transfer window.
Along with the Scotland international, AZ Alkmaar defender Denso Kasius, Blackburn Rovers right-back Ryan Alebiosu, as well as Hampus Skoglund of Hammarby, are being considered.
While all of them could be on the move this summer, Patterson’s lack of game time under David Moyes makes a Hill Dickinson Stadium exit very likely.

We believe Hampus Skoglund is the ideal candidate. Let us know what you think!
Despite the 24-year-old being an out-and-out right-back, Moyes has opted to start Jake O’Brien, a centre-back by trade, as a right-back.
Vamos Mi Sevilla have mentioned interest from Spain in Patterson, and have stated that he could be on the move this summer.
It would also be hard to rule out an emotional return to Ibrox, as that would help him re-establish his credentials with the Scotland side.

How Danny Rohl will look to utilise Patterson at Ibrox
Signing a new right-back is essential this summer, and Danny Rohl would welcome the idea of Patterson returning to Ibrox, given his experience in the Scottish Premiership.
The 24-year-old would fit in perfectly in his 4-2-2-2 or 4-2-3-1 system and offer attacking threat and width.
Patterson has done well overlapping and he could combine well with an inside forward who likes to get into the box and fancy goal-scoring opportunities for himself.
The Everton defender is also good off the ball and can be used to press the opposition higher up the pitch.
Patterson’s pace and crossing ability would suit Rohl’s emphasis on overlaps, quick movement and wide threats.
While his fitness record may be of some concern to the medical staff, his ability on the field of play is unquestioned, and if the green signal is given, the Gers must prioritise signing him.
