Premier League Leeds United have reportedly joined the hunt for Rangers-linked Stoke City defender Josh Tymon as exit talk around Borna Barisic appears to cool.
Rangers were linked with a move for 23-year-old Stoke defender Tymon earlier in the window as a prospective replacement for the Croatian international.
Back then all the talk was that it could cost up to £5m to sign Tymon but those reports have cooled as quickly as exit talk surrounding 29-year-old full-back Barisic.
Now, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke, Josh Tymon is a player in demand with Leeds United and Norwich City joining the hunt for the player.
But as Rangers continue to appear well-stocked in the position, unless either Calvin Bassey or Borna Barisic leave the club, it remains unlikely the Gers would move for Tymon.
Both Calvin and Borna have been linked with a move out of Rangers in this window but talk has gone cold over the last few weeks.
There was much talk surrounding a £25m move for Calvin Bassey after an impressive end to the season with Aston Villa mentioned amongst the most likely suitors.
Rangers were also said to be considering the exit of Borna Barisic amid inconsistent – and costly – form in recent seasons.
The full-back himself has previously spoken about the exit links and as Rangers were linked to Josh Tymon suggested a move out of Ibrox is possible if the offer was right.
“I don’t know only about the club, but I am good there and enjoy it,” said Borna [RTL].
“However in football, you never know, there are always some inquiries.

“There could be an offer that satisfies the club and me. Of course, you will leave (then) but until then it does not go further.”
In total, Barisic has made 155 appearances for Rangers, scoring seven goals and laying on 35 assists.
Talk of a move to Turkish champions Trabzonspor appears to have cooled dramatically with Barisic pictured in the Rangers Training Camp in Portugal.
In total, Barisic has made 155 appearances for Rangers, scoring seven goals and laying on 35 assists.
Meanwhile, Rangers fans will be hoping apparent Premier League interest a first team winger is quashed by a reported £21m deal.
