Premier League Leeds United have splashed the cash to bring in Feyenoord winger Luis Sinisterra amid high-profile links to Rangers’ Ryan Kent.
The Elland Road club have been tasked with replacing £55m winger Raphinha after the Brazilian attacker moved to Chelsea this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, £21m of that cash has been allocated to signing 23-year-old Colombian attacker Luis Sinisterra after an explosive few seasons with Feyenoord.
Sinisterra will sign a five-year contract at Elland Road and becomes Jesse Marsch’s sixth signing this summer in something of a mini-overhaul in Yorkshire.
The Feyenoord star makes an interesting move with Luis Sinisterra coming off the back of his most prolific season in the Netherlands, the attacker netting an impressive 23 goals across all competitions last season, firing the De Kuip club to the Europa Conference League Final.
Raphinha’s will be big boots to fill at Elland Road and the Colombian – who is an international teammate of Rangers star Alfredo Morelos – is the man tasked with doing so.
Leeds United move for Luis Sinisterra amid Rangers Ryan Kent links
The move comes amid long-term links between Leeds United and Ryan Kent resurfacing in the summer transfer window.
Only last week was the Rangers winger and Club Brugge counterpart Noa Lang being earmarked as potential solutions to the Raphinha problem at Leeds United.
Ryan Kent had been mentioned on a leading transfer podcast after links to Leeds United had initially seemed to have gone cold since the sacking of Marcelo Bielsa.
However, in moving for Luis Sinisterra it appears Leeds United have opted elsewhere but you never know what could happen as the transfer window finally starts to get moving.
With Ryan Kent in the final year of his contract, Rangers are in a precarious situation with the £7m winger where they risk losing him for nothing next summer.
As Joe Aribo heads for Southampton, and similar fears persist around Alfredo Morelos, manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has been discussing the future of all three players.
And it appears both Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos are to be offered new deals with no interest in either player so far this window.
“We are in talks especially with players who will come into the last year of their contracts,” said van Bronckhorst [Sky Sports].

“In the last year attention will come to your players but so far the interest we have in our players is not very high apart from Joe of course.
“But in football you never know you just have to wait and see what happens in the future
“We are working hard with Ross Wilson to make sure we are ready and making sure we get in the players we want.”
It remains to be seen if Leeds United are done shopping with Luis Sinisterra or if they retain an interest in Rangers winger Ryan Kent.
Rangers’ transfer window also seems to have flipped in the last few days as the club bolster their squad with three players for a net fee of around £300k.
