There has been much talk regarding the Croatian international’s potential exit, with Rangers believed to be open to moving the ex-NK Osijek captain on.

Reports last week claimed that Turkish champions Trabzonspor were targeting Borna Barisic as they look to boost their hopes of Champions League qualification.

These came despite other reports claiming the club were closing in on a deal for AC Milan left-back Fodo Balle-Toure.

Trabzonspor reportedly launch bid for Rangers’ Borna Barisic

Now, Fotomac are claiming that an official bid has been lodged for Borna Barisic as Trabzonspor step up this reported interest.

Whilst the details appear unclear, TEAMtalk believe that Rangers would be willing to deal for Borna Barisic around the £4m mark.

Rangers fans may well be in two minds about any potential Borna Barisic Trabzonspor exit after an inconsistent four season stint in Glasgow.

After a rocky start, Borna Barisic has shown his quality throughout his spell with Rangers but too often the player has been unavailable through injury or there have been questions about the left-back’s mentality and form.

The player himself has also talked openly about the potential of leaving the club.

“I don’t know only about the club, but I am good there and enjoy it,” said Borna [RTL].

“However in football, you never know, there are always some inquiries.

“There could be an offer that satisfies the club and me. Of course, you will leave (then) but until then it does not go further.”

In total, Barisic has made 155 appearances for Rangers, scoring seven goals and laying on 35 assists.

Meanwhile, one heavily Rangers-linked Premier League star has just signed a new deal elsewhere.
