Rangers ran out of goals last season as Cyriel Dessers toiled and Philippe Clement was forced to utilise Scott Wright as an auxiliary striker on more than one occasion.
If anything ever depicted the issues that the manager had to endure last season, it is that one forced decision and he will be hoping to avoid a repeat in this campaign.
Hamza Igamane will provide more consistent cover than Kemar Roofe and Philippe Clement will be buoyed to have seen Danilo back in a Rangers shirt against Ajax.

Danilo looking to kick-start Rangers career after false dawn
Two long-term and incredibly unlucky injuries curtailed his impact to just 995 minutes and only five starts in the league.
For a £6m investment, Rangers need an awful lot more this season.
Why asked by The Rangers Review if he was looking forward to the new campaign, he said:
“They have seen that I will always try to bring everything I can on the field and I want to help the team as much as possible with the goals.
“Last year was not my year. I had some good numbers and some goals and assists but I think now I know everybody in the building and there are fresh players.
“I will do my best to score as many goals as possible and hopefully not have the bad luck with the injuries. I want to help the boys as much as possible and contribute to be part of this squad.
“It is important that we stick together and work hard as much as we can and bring as many victories as well. That is my message to the Rangers fans.
“I will do more than 120 per cent of myself. I want to score as many goals as possible and I will do my best to make that happen.”
Danilo has his chance to be the main man
One of the more bizarre decisions that Michael Beale made last season was insisting on playing Dessers at the beginning of the season when he had missed most of pre-season.
To make matters worse, Danilo was on fire for Feyenoord in the early friendlies before arriving in Glasgow.
Dessers ended with figures of 22 goals and eight assists having only really kicked into gear in October and Danilo will be expected to better these figures if he stays fit.
What the Brazilian will also be expected to do is turn up in big games and cause opposition defences more problems than Dessers did.
He is more mobile, faster and a better presser, the lack of pace in the Rangers forward line last season was painful to watch at times.
Danilo might not be fully fit yet, however, there are plenty of games to build up his minutes between now and when the serious action starts.
He might not be the messiah, but a lot of Rangers hopes rest on the striker determined to make up for lost time.
