Chris Jack has issued an update on Rangers’ transfer plans ahead of the summer transfer window.
Jack Butland’s performances have been erratic, which has led to many questioning his ability to be the number one going forward.
Rangers’ interest in Pierce Charles has intensified in recent weeks, which has left the door open for the English shot-stopper to leave Ibrox.
Rangers want to sign Pierce Charles…
What does this mean for Jack Butland? 🤔
Chris Jack believes it’s a good time to part ways with Jack Butland
Rangers Review’s Chris Jack believes that it could be a good time for the Ibrox outfit to part ways with Butland.
He was discussing the club signing a new goalkeeper this summer, but revealed that it is not likely to be the priority.
There are other positions that the Light Blues will be looking to strengthen first.
Rangers will see five defenders leaving, so addressing the backline is most certainly going to take precedence.

However, an exit for Butland and the arrival of a new goalkeeper is not being ruled out at this stage.
When asked about the Gers potentially replacing Butland and signing a new goalkeeper this season, Jack said on Rangers Review’s YouTube channel: “I would think it’s on the list.
“I don’t know if it’ll be a priority come the summer because there’s a lot of areas that do need addressing.
“It feels a good time to part ways with Jack Butland.”
Will Rangers sack Danny Rohl if they fail to win the league?
If he goes, who would be a good replacement for him?
Is this Butland’s last season at Rangers?
There is a likelihood that the Gers look to cash in on Butland’s services at the end of the season.
If interest in Charles is genuine, which it appears to be, the Northern Ireland international will not be arriving and willing to be the second choice.
He is currently one of the hottest prospects in England and is expected to reach new heights in the coming years.
As Danny Rohl has worked with Charles, it makes sense to bring him to Rangers and build a defence which he would favour.
Butland has another year left to go on his contract, so the Ibrox outfit could receive a decent fee for his services.
He has been the first choice for the Gers over the past few years and also has Premier League experience under his belt to command good money.
