Rangers are among a host of clubs interested in signing Dundee centre-back Luke Graham this summer.
With the number of defenders leaving Ibrox, Danny Rohl has made signing replacements a priority in the opening weeks of the transfer window.
Rangers have done extensive work behind the scenes and have even agreed on personal terms with Graham, but the two clubs have yet to reach an agreement on the fee.
How much should Rangers pay for Luke Graham? 🤔
His contract at Dundee runs out next summer…
Brian Reid expects decent money to be spent on Luke Graham
Brian Reid, who has appeared on the BBC as a pundit, believes that it will take a decent outlay for the Gers to secure the services of Graham.
He also does not see the 22-year-old moving to Ibrox as a backup player or a rotation option.
In his view, Rangers need a starting centre-back and believes that Graham goes to Ibrox with the expectation that he will be a regular.
Which area should Rangers prioritise on strengthening this summer? 🤔
Andrew Cavenagh has made some bold promises!
Reid has told the Scottish defender that is the kind of mentality he expects him to have should he move to Glasgow this summer.
Rohl would likely partner Graham with Emmanuel Fernandez, should the Nigeria international stay at the club.
Fernandez has also been linked with an exit, so the Gers boss will be hoping that he can build a solid base with Graham.

How many defenders will Rangers sign this summer?
James Tavernier, Derek Cornelius, Nasser Djiga, Jayden Meghoma, and Max Aarons are not expected to be at Ibrox next season.
Of those, Tavernier, Djiga and Meghoma played a decent amount of matches for the club this past season, and will need replacing.
Also, given Dujon Sterling’s fitness issues, it is important for Rohl to sanction moves for two new right-backs.
The sense is that there will be at least four new defenders signed this summer, with three of them being full-backs.
Signing a new centre-back is also undoubtedly important, as John Souttar is not good enough to be a regular starter.
James Penrice is expected to join Rangers, and he will offer decent competition at left-back to Tuur Roomens.
It remains to be seen who Rohl’s go-to option is to replace Tavernier.
